About Us

Emily Ayala and Allison Hockett were raised right here in St. Louis where they attended Lindbergh High School.  After high school Allison enrolled in Truman State University, graduating with a B.A. in psychology, where she met her husband, Brian.  Emily attended Missouri State University, graduating with a B.S. in finance, where she met her husband, Paulo.  Allison resides in Eureka with her husband and three children ages 6, 3, and 1 year old.  Emily resides in O'Fallon, Missouri with her husband and little boy, age 1 year old.

We decided to write The St. Louis Wedding Book after all of the confusion in planning our own weddings.  We visited bridal shows and poured over magazines which were helpful but still left us with a ton of research to do and we didn't know where to begin.  We thought if we had a list of referrals from friends of venues we knew had worked well in the past, planning our weddings would be so much easier.  So that's just what we did.  We talked to friends, visited and interviewed over 100 venues, added tips, money saving tricks, timelines, and cost keys and put everything in a grab-n-go book for anyone planning a St. Louis wedding.  We hope The St. Louis Wedding Book helps you plan your ultimate St. Louis wedding!
